Weekend escapade

Last weekend, I went to Blackpool, which is above liverpool and along the coast and facing the irish sea, for student volunteering conference.

It was a great learning experience. Besides going for sessions such as respecting diversity(human), planning international projects, CVs speak up for volunteers, from crazy ideas to reality, youth lead youth, 10 tips for fundraising, social responsibility of corporate companies, dealing with people with mental health and the list continues...

.... there was also the hotel which gigantic....with a labrynth of conference rooms, cinema, bar, indoor swimming pool, gym, ballroom,

Blackpool is a really nice seaside town, more of amusement-ish than quaint, easily accsible by foot or tram.

Then there was the fancy dress part where each delegate had to dress up in something from where they came from. My friend from Manchester won 2nd price for sticking chest hair i.e. MAN-CHEST-HAIR = manchester....get it? haha and dressing up as beetle the bugs cos beatles are from liverpool...so interesting.
I had to share a room with a guy from Bristol and he was a cow...literally.

Besides meeting new and exciting people, I bummed into an old nj council-ish friend..PEI THENG....or winnie her english name....so random.

Back to goldman sachs application, hope Mr. lo will send his ref in time.

Got excepted by IAESTE to do exchange program but not sure where...

will be going to the science museum/darwin centre to play with kids....haha...

I'm so inundated....-.- sigh, hence no colourful words...
